Sarah and Ben are making the most of their backyard, turning this hidden gem, once fully productive land a generation ago – full circle, building soil and relationships towards their goals of neighbourgood.
Join us for a guided tour of Popes Produce to see the story of an over grown backyard transformed into a productive market garden. Wander through the far side’s wildness and cap the morning off with home made morning tea.
to be held at Village Practice, East Woonona
Curious as to how a seed grows into your leafy lunch?
Playing with food is something to be encouraged. How else are we going to learn to sprout seeds, grow microgreens, gather crispy leaves and garnish our meal with edible flowers?
Eating food with vitality grown metres from your plate not from halfway across the country is a skill to be appreciated and enbraced!
All attendees will take home their edible experiments to continue growing. Included are; a punnet of freshly sown seed, ready to sprout, newly planted seedling pots, a salad box from Popes Produce to munch on later whilst reviewing their printed notes from the session.
