Tour and Tea -

springing into action

Saturday 23 September 10am -11.30am

Explore Popes Produce HQ with the grower Sarah, for an introduction into what's required to grow healthy produce.
Through her years of experiences Sarah there have been many food growing adventures and some of these experiences will be shared on how to grow enough food for people whilst keeping the creatures at bay.

The tour will briefly explore the zones of the backyard and finish off with some light snacks and an edible discussion around how to get into or advance - on growing food locally.

Foraged Botanicals

with Elly Carol

During this 3 hour workshop is to re consider the possibilities of floral

design through foraged and found botanical materials.

The teaching in this workshop will focus on making a vase arrangement from

what we find foraging - It is the aim of the day to produce both beautiful and

inventive floral designs with materials that would traditionally not be

considered of value or used in floral designs. We also hope to bring value to

what is remarkable in your own backyard or patch and to point out the

different possibilities for all natural materials- even what might usually end up

on the weed pile!

We are hoping to focus on the non- typical and consider what’s possible

through the application of design principles and perspective rather than a

reliance on traditional flowers and foliage. We will work with what we find

and is seasonally available on the Popes produce grounds.

Things to consider will be:

- Texture

- Line

- Colour and colour theory

- Placement

- Perspective

- Construction

- Orientation
